Can you believe this ? Solar eclipse shuts the city(Times of India, Page 2), silicon valley of India, down - they were scared of the bad effects of solar eclipse on their lives! In fact people won't eat during the eclipse and they will put some kind of grass on food material already cooked to prevent the bad impacts!
Yes,we are in 21st century, but the age old superstitions cannot be questioned in this part of the world. I am ashamed of my countrymen who are indulging in this superstitions - they remind me of the ignorant cavemen who had no clue what was happening.
