After last week's fall, I have not yet been able to get up and running:( Though the wounds have healed, the knee joint is refusing to go back to normal. I am able to walk and skip(a good XT), but running is still uncomfortable. So 10K looks a bit doubtful now. May be I should have consulted an ortho instead of a physician. But the plan is still ON, will make the decision to quit as late as possible(lean mean principle).
It turns out that skipping(jump rope - ropics) is the only cross training(XT) that I am able to do - swimming will make the healing wounds wet, cycling requires you bend your knee as well. BTW, I claim to be an good skipper - can do crosses and double under. If you are interested in making your ropics work out interesting, check out the book, Ropics: The Next Jump Forward in Fitness by Ken M. Solis
